The weekend of the 16th and 17th July saw two of our employees compete at a World Clay Target Shooting event held at Fauxdegla International Clay Target Shooting Center. The format over the two days for the Automatic Ball Trap World Championships was 100 targets per day, split into eight rounds of twenty five targets. Both Katie and Emyr shot consistently well throughout day one, with Katie being three targets behind the leading lady into day two and Emyr being seven targets behind the leading senior male in class.
Day two started very differently for both shooters with Katie shooting a low 18 and Emyr only missing one target in the first round. Katie took time before the next round to compose herself and found terrific form to shoot rounds of 24,23,25 to finish with a two day total of 176 ex 200 and that being enough to take the ladies title and to be crowned ABT Ladies World Champion 2022.
Emyr continued his fine form with 22, 25, 25 to be crowned Senior Class winner with a total score of 183 ex 200
Both shooters are looking forward to further representational honors with Emyr traveling to Ireland later on this year to compete for Wales at two International events.
